ViewMyMenu ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our digital-menu service, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account info: name, email address and (optionally) WhatsApp number when you sign up.
- Restaurant content: restaurant name, logo, cover image, menu categories, dishes, photos and prices that you upload.
- Customer reviews: star rating, review text and (optional) name + photo submitted by your customers on your public menu.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and basic page-view logs to keep the service secure.
- Cookies: a single PHP session cookie used to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How we use your information
- To create and operate your ViewMyMenu account.
- To display your menu publicly to your customers via your QR code.
- To send transactional messages (sign-up OTP, password reset).
- To respond to your support requests.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and to comply with the law.
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Email / WhatsApp providers we use to deliver OTPs (e.g. your own SMTP / Gmail or your chosen WhatsApp gateway).
- Hosting providers where you choose to host ViewMyMenu.
- Authorities if required by valid legal process.
4. Data retention
We keep your account and menu content for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by writing to hello@viewmymenu.in. OTP codes are automatically purged after they expire (10 minutes).
5. Security
Passwords are stored using one-way bcrypt hashing — even we
cannot read them. All forms are protected with CSRF tokens. You are
responsible for keeping your ViewMyMenu password and your
hosting credentials secure.
6. Children
ViewMyMenu is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.
7. Your rights
You may at any time access, correct, export or delete your personal data by contacting hello@viewmymenu.in. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
